How apply for a licence

If you want to take ski or snowboard lessons, you need a licence from the French Skiing Federation (FFS) (annual membership to the FFS). This licence also includes insurance. Several coverage levels are available for prices starting at 41.70 € for children born in or after 2010 and 46.90 € for adults (born in 2009 or after) for the season. The price of this licence is less than the price of an hour of ESF lessons.

Competitors, instructors and members of the club committee must hold an FFS competitor or "dirigeant" licence.

Once you have enrolled in the ski club, please apply for a licence online on the licence application page of the ski club's HelloAsso website. You will need to upload your ski club membership card and the FFS declaration (available for download at the top of the page) completed and signed when you apply for your licence. The detailed licence application procedure is available here.

If you need help registering or applying for a licence online, attend the information meetings that will be organised on December 3 and 4 or contact us by email.

In accordance with the ASCEA internal regulations and the FFS rules, a certificate of no contraindication to skiing (in competition if applicable) less than six months old is only required for registration of

  • minors applying for an FFS leisure or competition licence if they have given at least one positive response to the health questionnaire
  • adult members applying for an FFS competition licence if they have given at least one positive answer to the health questionnaire.

In these cases, please send the certificate by e-mail when you have completed your online registration and licence application.

All payments to the club must be made when you register online. Please enrol in the ski club and apply for your licence early so that they can be checked and processed before you sign up for your first day trip or hire equipment.

If you have any questions, please send an email to the club e-mail address skiclubcadaracheSUPPRIMER@gmail.com or for personnel working on ITER site to the address skiclubSUPPRIMER@iter.org.

Insurances

The ASCEA membership includes an insurance for the ASCEA activities. A complementary insurance, however, is recommended, in particular to avoid having to pay in advance for the rescue expenses. Check with your personal insurance. In addition, the FFS license proposes several insurance coverages. Check the information notice on FFS licence available for download at the top of the page.

Reimbursements

Non-participation in section activities throughout the season does not constitute a reason for reimbursement of registration fees. These will be reimbursed only on presentation of a medical certificate prohibiting the practice of skiing and if the member has not participated in any activity.
